Hi_Tack - Let's Dance

Dutch electro dance group Hi_Tack had a fair bit of success with previous single, 'Say Say Say' - reaching #4 in the UK Singles chart. And now they're back with another crack at the top 10, this time shooting with a blend of classic Bowie and their signature euro-esque electro house.

I like David Bowie - and I like electro house too, as it happens. So surely this is like some kind of dream combination?

Not quite. I mean, I like Coca-Cola, and I like chicken - but a combination of the two? Surely such a grating combination would turn the stomach.

And turn it does. To rub salt in the already-open wound, this remix offers very little above the original - and destroys the subtlety of the original.

Sheer daylight grave robbery, to muddle a few metaphors. Let this trend for half-hearted bastard-electro remixes end now.
