Review: Hot Chip - Arrest Yourself7 January, 2007 — Stuart Brown

Electropop group Hot Chip are back with another single from their album The Warning. With their quirky blend of electro lyrics and mathematical accuracy in the music, I've long been a fan - and Arrest Yourself is one of the many stand out tracks on the album.

As single material though, I think it fails to stand on its own - The Warning is best enjoyed as a continuous serving, rather than doled out in 3-minute chunks. That said, the chunky electro bleeps, beats and riffs are appealing, and it's certainly a catchy tune.

While not the pop classic that Over and Over was, Arrest Yourself is just another very good reason to bite the bullet and pick up the album.

What next?More by Hot Chip? More single reviews? More electro, or pop?
