Kaiser Chiefs The Angry Mob

I've got to admit that I do like the Kaiser Chiefs very much - heck, their next single could have been Peanut reading out his shopping list and I probably would have gone straight down to HMV to buy it.

The Angry mob doesn't disappoint - this is the Kaiser Chiefs at their best, loud angry lyrics, loud angry guitar, loud angry drumbeats. My favourite part though is the chanting at the end - you could imagine the checked-shirted, stella drinking neanderthals jumping up and down at a club, singing along without recognising the irony of the lyrics "we like who we like, we hate who we hate, but we're also easily swayed".

One small criticism though, this wasn't necessarily the best song off the album to release as a single. I would have gone with "Love's not a competition (but I'm winning)" or even the slightly more upbeat "Learnt my lesson well". But that's me just being a whingey old git.

Overall

What next?More by Kaiser Chiefs? More reviews? More indie, or rock?
