Review: Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love15 November, 2007 — Kate Ingham

Leona Lewis Bleeding Love

X Factor is the McDonalds of the music world. Cheap and satisfying in the short term, but five minutes after you've consumed it, you've forgotten all about it.

Former winners Shayne Ward and Steve Brookstein have failed to ignite the charts after their first singles so it is really refreshing to see that last year's winner Leona Lewis is in the number one spot and looks like having a shot at long-term success.

As much as I hate manufactured pop, I have to admit that Miss Lewis has an absolutely amazing voice. This song fits her vocal range perfectly and is a pretty, radio-friendly tune - and is romantic without being overly mushy. It'll be interesting to see what her follow-up will be though and whether it will have the same success.

Overall
