Greg Dulli is the man behind the now defunct Afghan Whigs (1986-2001, RIP) and the Twilight Singers, a glorious soul-influenced alt-rock band adored by many. He is now also one half of the much anticipated Gutter Twins (other half is Mark Lanegan), due to release their first record this year much to fans' delight. We wait with baited breath...

Greg also sang in the Backbeat band, who recorded the soundtrack to Backbeat, the Beatles biopic.
In 2005 he released a solo album, Amber Headlights.
The usual Greg trivia: Greg is half Irish, half Greek. He used to, but no longer uses cocaine. He was once put in a coma by some club bouncers.
The Afghan Whigs ARE NOT getting back together.
Greg recorded sumptuous vocals for the Lo Fidelity Allstars' Somebody Needs You. It's gorgeous and perfectly suited to his voice.
Whatever it is, he's just got it. He captures the audience's attention through his banter and a deliciously sexual presence. There is a reason there are a lot of girls at the front of Greg's gigs.
He also takes other people's songs and does wonderful things to them.
You really have to listen to a few samples of Greg's music, and see him live to truly appreciate this man's Rock God status.
Alongside fellow Rock God Mark Lanegan in the form of the Gutter Twins, with an album out in 2007. Watch this space, it's gonna be good...
What next?More by Greg Dulli? More features? More rock?
