Scouting for Girls - She's So Lovely

Dib dib dib, dob dob dob. Apologies for the shitty introduction to this review but as this band name is a play on words of "Scouting for Boys"... ah well, never mind. Scouting For Girls were formed in 2005 and like many up and coming bands these days, formed a loyal fanbase through Myspace. So are "Scouting For Girls" ready to camp out in the number one spot with new song "She's so Lovely" or do they make Robert Baden-Powell spin in his grave?

Silly scout puns aside, as soon as I heard this song I fell in love with it. A plinky-plonky piano song about falling in love with someone else's girlfriend, it's romantic without being sappy, has intelligent, simple lyrics and had me wanting more after the song had ended. On the strength of this song, I'm going to be keeping an eye on this band and sorely recommend that you do too.

Unless of course it's your girlfriend that they are singing about obviously.

Overall

What next?More by Scouting For Girls? More reviews? More pop, or rock?
