Welsh weirdos The Automatic are back after the success of their last single with a re-working of the previously-released-and-now-reworked 'Recover'. Sporting a heavier sound, and the gloss that comes with an extra year of rehearsal, how does the new single match up to their recent success?

Despite sporting perhaps the worst and most grotesque cover art in the history of bad, grotesque cover art, the song is a slickly put together package with all the gloss that we're familiar with from their last single.
What set 'Monster' apart was the memorable lyrics and catchy riffs - Recover has some of these tendencies, but certainly isn't as good as it's predecessor. It's always hard to follow success, and this is a nice song, but it certainly isn't a standout track.
Consistent performance from The Automatic, but not as cute as 'Monster'.

What next?More by The Automatic? More reviews? More indie?
