The Courteeners - What took you so long

When I first heard this song I wondered if the title was some sort of ironic statement because the intro went on for effing ages. I was starting to think it was an instrumental.

The Courteeners are a four piece from Manchester who already have two singles under their belts and have toured with fellow North-Westerners The Coral. Is this enough to get them into the charts though?

I've got to admit that I couldn't get into this song. The music itself is quite nice, with a bouncy drum beat and jangly guitars, but Liam Fray's vocals really got me depressed- he sounded like Morrissey on downers. A little bit too dour for me I'm afraid.

Overall
