Review: Jahtarian Dubbers Vol. 1

Ah, summer. As the weather heats up, and my pants get shorter, it's time to start making my holiday plans. I've settled on somewhere tropical this year, and Leipzig, Germany is at the top of my list. Yeah, I know the Fatherland is nowhere near the equator, but you wouldn't know it from the fantastic reggae being produced there by the Jahtari label.

Review: Jonny Greenwood is the Controller

2007 marks the 40th anniversary of legendary reggae label, Trojan Records. To celebrate, they've decided to put out a series of retrospective releases. I'm loving the way they're going about this. Instead of a typical "hits only" record, they've decided to let loose some incredible musicians into their vaults to curate a release each. More of a playlist than a compilation really.
